Master Plan Finalization:

Ridge View redevelopment planning continues. This complex planning process was slightly delayed due to a newly identified need to complete an architectural assessment before estimating total costs. After receiving final revisions of costs, the Master Plan Summary will be shared.

The Ridge View Supportive Residential Community is requesting community input on project development. Specifically, we want to better understand how you and your household might be interested in using public spaces on the Ridge View campus. The Master Planning process for the Ridge View site into a Supportive Residential Community has engaged the community in a variety of ways. Our goal is to engage many diverse perspectives into creating a plan that serves Coloradans effectively. The primary engagement events have included the following:

• 1/23/2023: Engage DOLA Ridge View website went live! The public can subscribe to Ridge View updates and submit questions or comments to staff
• 3/20/2023: Aurora City Council Study Session Presentation & Discussion
• 4/18/2023: Arapahoe County Commissioner Study Session Presentation & Discussion
• 4/3/2023, 6/22/23, 7/24/23: Steering Committee visioning sessions
• 5/16/2023: Programming Interview with statewide service providers and subject matter experts
• 6/26/2023: Focus Group with residents with lived experience of homelessness and substance use recovery
• 7/19/2023: Aurora Ward 6 Town Hall Meeting
• Late 7/2023: Survey distributed to local residents to inquire about possible utilization of public services on site

Future meetings: Local emergency responders, Public town halls and elected officials, lived experience engagement with procured service provider(s)

The State of Colorado’s Department of Local Affairs, through its Division of Housing Office of Homeless Initiatives, is excited to announce that the master planning process for the repurposing of the Ridge View property has begun.
