Ridge View Supportive Residential Community Project December Update: Construction Progress and Projected Opening
We are excited to share updates on the progress of the Ridge View campus renovation project. The initiative is currently in the construction phase, with active work underway on environmental clean-up, plumbing, roofing, and other critical infrastructure improvements.
This comprehensive, large-scale project is being executed in two phases, encompassing 16 buildings and extensive campus grounds.
- Design: Design is the collaborative process between the owner and the contractor where the project's details are developed and refined.
- Construction: Construction is the physical building process carried out by a contractor.
- Close-out: Closeout is the final phase of construction before a project is handed over to the owner.
Phase I focuses on the repair and renovation of the ten essential buildings (including transitional housing units) needed to prepare the campus for staff and participant use. Renovations for the West Academic Building are expected to be complete by the end of Q1 (March 2025), followed by staffing and program start-up activities. In the interim, the West Academic Building will be utilized for administrative functions; once the program is up and running, it will be utilized for instructional purposes. The remaining Phase I buildings are projected to reach substantial completion by Q3 (July 2025), with final punch-list items addressed over the summer.
Programs are anticipated to open between July and September 2025, though these timelines are subject to adjustments based on factors like weather and supply chain conditions.
The remaining buildings, the Resource Center, East Academic Building, Recreational Center, Vocational Building, Field Building, and Maintenance Facility, will be designed, built, and closed-out during Phase II.
